A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of junk messages, but this issue can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty if you’ve got a hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet astonishingly simple to work with, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll see a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it for a second time will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated with ease if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a mini sign handily situated directly next to each of them. With just a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature using the context menu that will show up. If any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
